February 28, 2015 — As long as West Virginia ranks 47th in the US in broadband competitiveness, the state will continue to lose young entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals to other states that have the modern infrastructure to support their ventures. Our generation understands the importance of broadband connectivity, speed, and availability and they are looking for opportunities to grow business in states with this type of access. Broadband access provides the bedrock of 21st century economic development that attracts and retains young professionals in the state.
Generation West Virginia Opposes Bill Invalidating All Local Nondiscrimination Policies
February 26, 2015 — Generation West Virginia announces their opposition to HB2881 due to the negative effects the bill would have on West Virginia’s ability to attract and retain young talent. Inclusive nondiscrimination policies attract young talent and keep our young people in West Virginia.
